How to use the Modules
The modules are a stand alone course in Brightspace. The course is called ‘SUNY Broome Information Literacy Modules’ and is located next to the Brightspace Orientation course.
Certificate of Completion
Students are awarded ‘Badges’ for each module they complete and are awarded a ‘Certificate’ for completion of all required modules. Students can find awarded certificates (and badges) under the ‘Course Activities’ tab in the Brightspace Information Literacy “course”.
Here’s the steps students need to follow to submit the appropriate badge/certificate.
- After successfully completing the four required modules, you will be awarded a certificate.
- Have the student navigate to ‘Course Activities’-> ‘Awards’. They should take a screenshot of the certificate, and upload the image into the course drop box. (Make sure that the image is well labeled with the student’s name and class/section)
- The student can also download the certification (pdf), label the document with their name and class/section, and then upload into the drop box.
